Account management

Credential Management Guidelines:

Upon creation of a seller account, Galileo will provide the seller with their login email and password. It is mandatory for the seller to promptly update this password upon receipt.

Safeguarding login credentials and private keys is the sole responsibility of the seller except in case of choosing Galileo's Wallet Management Service, where in Galileo Protocol will manage the crypto wallets of the sellers. In the event of any compromise of private keys, sellers must immediately notify Galileo via hello@galileoprotocol.io. It is important to note that the compromise of private keys may result in the loss of funds. While Galileo will endeavor to recover funds through configured means in the Marketplace, there is no guarantee of success.

In the event of compromised private keys, it may be necessary to delist affected items. Sellers will then need to re-add them to resume sales in the marketplace.

Galileo strongly recommends the following security measures:

  1. Utilize cold wallets for enhanced security.

  2. Avoid sharing private keys or login credentials with anyone.

  3. Refrain from interacting with suspicious websites that request wallet connection.
